My Sinai small Saucer

This small plate is inspired by my love for Sinai beaches. 

It was designed and made, from a lump of speckled clay to a finished piece. The inside of the plate is glazed & glossy and the outside is left unglazed & natural. The illustration is made spontaneously and free-hand.

There is only one of each design and it is thrown and trimmed on the potter's wheel, carefully carved painted, and glazed by me.

All of my work is made using stoneware clay and fired in an electric kiln to high degrees hit. It is watertight, strong and dishwasher/oven safe, though it is always my advice to treat handmade items carefully and wash them by hand if possible.
